Evelyn has been writing weekly parenting columns since 1984 when she was a columnist for the Detroit Free Press, writing Parent Talk and Teen Talk. She wrote for the Detroit Free Press for 11 years; she was also on the Knight Ridder Tribune Wire to papers across the country, starting in 1987. She continued writing for the KRT Wire until 2001, and then started writing for the Nashville Tennessean. Currently she writes for the Traverse City Record-Eagle in northwest lower Michigan. The columns in the archives have been chosen both for interest, and because they are questions that are most frequently asked by parents.
